GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
Wagoner Public Works Authority is looking for a Wastewater Disposal Plant Lab Technician. Shift work will be required along with call-out or call back at any time. Wastewater disposal experience required. This position performs basic laboratory analysis, and a variety of other duties and responsibilities involved in providing Waste Water Treatment Plant services to the City in accordance with all state and federal regulations.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Included but not limited to… Understanding waste water treatment theory and apply that knowledge to the waste water treatment process. Ability to perform general maintenance on equipment. Collecting samples for testing for contaminants and other properties. Knowledge of safety procedures as required for the use of hazardous chemicals. Ensure plant operations are in compliance with operating guidelines.
Physical demands: the employee is continuously required to talk or hear; regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and occasionally required to sit, climb or balance. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision; distance vision; color vision; peripheral vision; depth perception; and ability to adjust focus.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must have a valid Oklahoma driver license and an acceptable driving record. A “D” Wastewater Operators DEQ License and “C” Wastewater Lab DEQ License.
Education requirements High School Diploma or equivalent.

WE ARE HIRING: The City of Wagoner is now taking applications for all seasonal positions, including Pool Managers, Lifeguards, Pool Cashiers and Seasonal Mowers for Parks (hours and dates vary) for the summer of 2021. Part time positions are available that require working weekdays, weekends, holiday shifts, and special events. Schedules may vary each week. Lifeguards must possess a current American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification or be able to acquire it prior to being hired. Pool managers must possess a OSDH pool operator certification.
