All city and WPWA offices and departments will be closed on Monday, November 11th, 2024, in observance of Veterans Day. They will reopen on Tuesday, November 12th, 2024, at 8:30 a.m. All emergency services will remain operational.
VETERANS CEREMONY: The American Legion Post 153 will host a Veterans Day Ceremony at the Wagoner County Courthouse (307 East Cherokee) on Monday November 11th, 2024 at 10am.
VETERANS PARADE: Join Wagoner Public Schools and the City of Wagoner as we honor our veterans next Tuesday November 12th, 2024 with a parade.
VETERANS PARTICIPATING IN THE PARADE: Please begin lining up for the parade at 12:30 p.m. at the football field. At 1:00 p.m., a police escort will lead the way to each of our district schools, where over 2,000 students and faculty will be waiting to cheer for and celebrate you! The parade will end at the Performing Arts Center parking lot, where the Wagoner High School Marching Band will perform the National Anthem.
COMMUNITY MEMBERS WATCHING THE PARADE: Micah Wisdom at United Church invites the community to gather in the United Church parking lot next to Cherokee Street to celebrate as our veterans pass by around 1:15 p.m. Please note that the parade route will not go downtown.
