ROAD WORK ALERT: Beginning TODAY Monday, October 2, 2023, Oklahoma Department of Transportation maintenance crews will perform some surface repairs along Cherokee/SH-51 to improve driving conditions until the resurfacing project can begin. Please keep this in mind as you commute through Wagoner. These repairs are scheduled to be completed by October 11, 2023, barring any unexpected circumstances or inclement weather.
The crew will start at the Casaver and Cherokee intersection, going West to Wagoner Avenue. During this time, the inner two lanes will be closed. North Main to South Main Street will not be accessible from the inner two lanes. There will not be access to travel across Cherokee from North Main to South Main or vice versa. ODOT will also be making repairs on Cherokee from Gertrude to Graham during this time. There will also be repairs being made near the entrance to the Wagoner Hospital.
