This week is National Emergency Medical Services Week and the City of Wagoner would like to take this opportunity to highlight our Wagoner EMSdepartment and thank them for their dedication, service and commitment to our community.
This recognition brings together local communities and medical personnel to publicize safety and honor the dedication of those who provide the day-to-day lifesaving services of medicine's "front line."
Wagoner EMS Director Jim Roberts said he feels very proud of the employees who work in his department.
“Our employees are highly trained and perform their jobs with a high level of professionalism,” said Roberts. “Starting treatment earlier is improving patient outcomes and the skill and training of our staff and our Paramedics allow them to provide many life-saving medications and treatments that used to only be available in the hospital.”
Over the next week we will be sharing more information with you regarding these first responders, their certifications and how they feel about working in our community and serving you as citizens of Wagoner.
The Wagoner EMS Department consists of the following:
Paramedic: Matt Rafalko (Flight Medic, AirEvac), Josie Saltarelli, Alan Smith, Dale Morris, Tammy Skeen, Janna Metzger, Jim Roberts (EMS Director, RN/Paramedic), Glen Ruark, Chris Hughes, Trent Harris, Jerry Sherley, Cleve Edgmon
Advanced EMT: Amanda Mackley, Jeff Patterson
Basic EMT: Cody Metzger, Angela Sherley, Sean Goodwin, Dylan Bigby, Jason Smith, Jarrad Edwards, Chris Burke, Dalton Grooms
Please join us in thanking these brave men and women for the job they do daily to help protect our community!
